A very convenient and quiet location, a block from the Jamaa-el-Fna with all its activity, shops, restaurants, street life. Lovely roof-top lounge area for rest, reading, a beer, a chat. Friendly, helpful staff. To help a taxi driver from the train station find Riad Balkisse, tell him it's located just behind the Hopital Riad al Mokha.

I stayed at the Riad for 4 nights - the Riad is clean, all your basic necessities like hot water, clean bathroom, neatly made up room etc, are more than taken care of. Location wise, its pretty close (3 minutes walk) from Djema El Fna which gives you a whole lot of eating options etc. Sukhina and Mustafa and the rest of the team are eager to please - in fact, Sukhina went out of her way to organize a pick up from the Marrakech train station etc.

Nice location 3 minutes from Jemma el-fna. Easy to find with instructions provided. Everyday new towels and bed sheets. Everyday sweet breakfast (different pancake, bread, jam, honey, coffee, cake). Nice atmosphere and clean riad. Good comunication in english. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a Marrakech map with some advices. Allways someone from the staff was avalible. I recomend rooms on the higher level. One thing which we don't like was the motorbikes noise in late evening and cleaning person in the early morning everyday, both on 'the street'. But it is not riad fault.

The riad was really difficult to find as we hired a car, but to be honest I think that's Marrakesh, overall the stay was pleasant enough although we only stayed briefly. The riad was suitable enough for our needs,A little worn in places but a great deal so nothing to complain about the breakfast was just enough to start the day.

Immediately upon arrival we felt like home. The host was super-friendly and welcoming. Explained everything thoroughly and showed us to our room.The room was clean and a good standard. The window was smaller, but we didn’t mind that as we were planning on saying in the room mostly at night, not during the day. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was new, but it was clean and definitely value for the money.The breakfast we received was very tasty and just right in terms of the amount of food.We would definitely recommend this riad as it is on the edge of the Médina, so close to everything but not in the maze of the old town.If you’re in Marrakesh and you’re looking for a home away from home, go for this place!
